Mission

CAMP HAZEN YMCA IS A CAUSE-DRIVEN ORGANIZATION THAT IS FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, FOR HEALTHY LIVING AND FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. OUR PRIMARY FOCUS IS ON YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, NURTURING THE POTENTIAL OF EVERY CHILD AND TEEN.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM FOR TEENS - THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS TO DEVELOP TEACHING, COUNSELING AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS IN YOUNG PEOPLE AND TO PROVIDE THEM WITH A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY, GROUP COHESION, AND IDENTITY SO AS TO FOSTER WELL-ROUNDED AND SUCCESSFUL COUNSELORS AND LEADERS. PARTICIPANTS IN THIS PROGRAM LEARN CPR,LIFEGUARD TRAINING, FIRST AID, AND GENERAL TEACHING TECHNIQUES. PARTICIPANTS BEGIN SUPERVISING AND INSTRUCTING CAMPERS IN BOTH OUR DAY AND RESIDENT CAMP PROGRAMS.
