TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE THE INTEREST OF THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTING INDUSTRY; TO EDUCATE MEMBERS AND EMPLOYEES AND THE PUBLIC AS A WHOLE; TO FOSTER THE MEETING AND EXCHANGE OF IDEAS, TECHNICAL DATA, AND INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENTS AND INFORMATION BETWEEN MEMBERS, THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION, AND OTHER ASSOCIATIONS AND MANUFACTORERS, AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES; TO REPRESENT THE MEMBERSHIP IN ITS RELATIONS WITH ITS EMPLOYEES AND ANY GROUP OR GROUPS WHICH MAY REPRESENT ITS EMPLOYEES; TO PROVIDE FOR AFFILIATION WITH THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA, INC., AND THE FURTHERANCE OF THE OBJECTIVES OF SAID NATIONAL ASSOCIATION AS SET FORTH IN THE CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS.

THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION IS AN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO SERVING THE NEEDS OF AREA UNION CONTRACTORS WHO INSTALL HEATING, VENTILATION, AIR CONDITIONING, PROCESS PIPING AND REFRIGERATION UNITS. OUR MEMBERS INCLUDE LARGE CONTRACTORS WHO WORK FROM COAST-TO-COAST AS WELL AS SMALL SPECIALIZED CONTRACTORS WHO WORK ON A REGIONAL LEVEL. GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS - 1) PROVIDED INPUT TO THE STATE OF IOWA REQUESTING ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE REBUILD IOWA INFRASTRUCTURE FUND (RIIF). $14.6M WAS ALLOCATED. 2) PROVIDED INPUT TO LEGISLATORS REGARDING THE IOWA APPRENTICESHIP ACT. 3) CONTINUED TO EDUCATE LEGISLATORS REGARDING THE BENEFITS OF ALLOWING ALTERNATIVE PROJECT DELIVERY METHODS. 4) PROVIDED INPUT TO IOWA PLUMBING & MECHANICAL SYSTEMS BOARD REGARDING THEIR DEFINITION OF REFRIGERATION.
