Mission

HENNEPIN THEATRE TRUST CREATES POSITIVE CHANGE THROUGH THE ARTS BY BRINGING TOGETHER PEOPLE, BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS IN THE WEST DOWNTOWN CULTURAL DISTRICT (WEDO ) TO CREATE AND ENJOY CULTURAL EXPERIENCES. WE ARE A UNIQUE DRIVER OF ECONOMIC GROWTH IN DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS. EACH YEAR, WE SUCCESSFULLY FILL THREE HISTORIC THEATRES WITH A DIVERSE RANGE OF WORLD-CLASS PERFORMANCES THAT ATTRACT MORE THAN 600,000 PEOPLE TO MINNEAPOLIS.OUR NEWEST COMMUNITY SPACES AT 900 HENNEPIN - ALSO HOME TO OUR ORGANIZATION - COMPLEMENT OUR PRESENCE ALONG HENNEPIN AVENUE, WHICH ADDS UP TO A LOCUS OF CREATIVITY UNIQUE IN MINNESOTA. RESTAURANTS, HOTELS, CORPORATIONS, RETAIL, MUSEUMS, DANCE, CONCERTS, AND SPORTING EVENTS - EVEN A SCHOOL AND A COLLEGE - CONNECT OUR THEATRES AND THE SPACES BETWEEN TO CREATE AN ECLECTIC URBAN CAMPUS, ANCHORED BY THE PERFORMING ARTS.
