Mission

The Fargo Marathon will continuously strive to promote a friendly and fun event dedicated to the participants, the volunteers, spectators and our chosen charities. We firmly believe that physical fitness should not be a choice, but rather, a part of life for all people of all ages.

Fargo Marathon, Inc. is a North Dakota nonprofit organization. The purpose of which is to promote the awareness of healthy and active lifestyles in people of all ages. A main focus of the organization is to donate a portion of the monies raised back to charities that focus on youth related causes. At the end of the year, Fargo Marathon Inc. owned four races: the Fargo Marathon, Go Far Woman Run, the Dick Beardsley Half Marathon and Fargo Mini Marathon.The twelfth annual Fargo Marathon events were held May 16-21, 2016. Events included a bike race, dog run, youth run, 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon relays, and a full marathon. There were approximately 21,000 participants across all events.The 4th Annual Go Far Woman Run was held August 20, 2016. Events included a Youth Run, 5K, half marathon, and half marathon relay. There were approximately 1,600 participants across all events. The 2nd Annual Dick Beardsley Marathon Weekend was held on September 10, 2016. There were approximately 1,950 participants across all events, including a Youth Run, 5K, 10K Half Marathon and Full Marathon.The 8th annual Fargo Mini Marathon was held on October 22, 2016. Events included a 5K, 10K, and half marathon. There were approximately 1,900 participants across all events.

Events included a youth run, 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon relays, and a full marathon. There were approximately 21,000 participants across all events.The 3rd Annual Go Far Woman Run was held August 22, 2015. Events included a Youth Run, 5K, half marathon, and half marathon relay. There were approximately 1,600 participants across all events. The Dick Beardsley Marathon Weekend was held on September 12, 2015. This marked the 20th Annual Half Marathon and the Inaugural Full Marathon under the ownership of Fargo Marathon, Inc.The seventh annual Fargo Mini Marathon was held on October 17, 2015. Events included a 5K, 10K, and half marathon. There were approximately 1,900 participants across all events.Fargo Marathon, Inc. is a North Dakota nonprofit organization. The purpose of which is to promote the awareness of healthy and active lifestyles in people of all ages. A main focus of the organization is to donate a portion of the monies raised back to charities that focus on youth related causes. At the end of the year, Fargo Marathon Inc. owned five races: the Fargo Marathon, 81 on 81 Relay Run, Go Far Woman Run, the Dick Beardsley Half Marathon and Fargo Mini Marathon. The tenth annual Fargo Marathon events were held May 8-10, 2014. Events included a youth run, 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon relays, and a full marathon. There were approximately 23,000 participants across all events.The 81 on 81 Relay Run was discontinued after the 2013 event, and the organization does not expect to host it again.The 2nd Annual Go Far Woman Run was held August 23, 2014. Events included a 5K, half marathon, and half marathon relay. There were approximately 1,500 participants across all events. The Dick Beardsley Half Marathon was acquired in October of 2014, but an event was not held during the 2014 calendar year. This event typically takes place in September of each year.The sixth annual Fargo Mini Marathon was held on October 11, 2014. Events included a 5K, 10K, and half marathon. There were approximately 1,700 participants across all events.
