THIS SERVICE REQUIRES RELATIVELY HIGH STAFF TO INDIVIDUAL RATIOS AND PROVIDES SUPERVISION 100% OF THE TIME FOR PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS.

Program description   SHELTERED EMPLOYMENT - BETTER KNOWN AS FACILITY-BASED EMPLOYMENT, IS A SERVICE LEVEL DESCRIPTION OF A HABILITATION/REHABILITATION SERVICE THAT IS PROVIDED TO INDIVIDUALS AT MVLE WHO HAVE SIGNIFICANT-TO-PROFOUND INTELLECTUAL AND PHYSICAL DISABILITIES TO HELP FOSTER GREATER INDEPENDENCE THROUGH EXPOSURE TO LIMITED EMPLOYMENT ACTIVITIES AS MVLE EMPLOYEES. THESE SERVICES ARE IMPLEMENTED BY STAFF PERSONS IN THE PRODUCTION REHABILITATION PROGRAM WHOSE FOCUS IS ON PROVIDING INTENSIVE SUPPORTS AND FACILITATING ACTIVITIES FOR THE INDIVIDUALS.
