Labor-Management Committee Training-Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services (FMCS) Grant This program offers one-day training to CSEA represented worksites for labor and management leaders interested in starting Labor-Management Committees and/or improving the effectiveness of current operating committees. The course provides committee members the tools and techniques for developing effective Labor-Management Committee structure and relationships. Online Training, as well as, streamed video supports the training. Topics include: o Basic protocols on how Labor-Management Committees operate o Creating an operating agreement that serves as guidance for committee practice o Agenda development process that can be used for labor-management committee meetings o Understanding a solutions-based, problem-solving process o Learning how to run effective and productive meetings o Understanding the challenges of both labor and management and developing strategies for becoming better allies To each other o Learning techniques for building effective working relationships o Conducting a meeting preparation session and participating in a "coached" meeting
