THE ALASKA FORUM WORKS TO PROMOTE A MORE PRODUCTIVE AND EFFICIENT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, BUSINESSES, ORGANIZATIONS, TRIBES AND THE PUBLIC BY: - DEVELOPING A MORE COMMON UNDERSTANDING AND EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION - PROVIDING OPPORTUNITY FOR THE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION AND EXPERIENCES AND - UNDERSTANDING THE DIVERSITY OF OPINIONS AND CONCERNS OF OTHERS

THE CONFERENCE IS THE SECOND LARGEST IN THE STATE AND ATTRACTS AN AVERAGE OF 1,300 PARTICIPANTS. 2015 MARKED THE 17TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR HOLDING THE CONFERENCE WHICH INCLUDES OVER 80 BREAKOUT SESSIONS ON: CLIMATE CHANGE, EMERGENCY RESPONSE, ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS, FISH AND WILDLIFE POPULATIONS, ENERGY, MILITARY ISSUES, BUSINESS ISSUES, SOLID WASTE CONTAMINATES, CONTAMINATED SITE CLEANUP, AND OTHERS. THE CONFERENCE IS WIDELY ATTENDED BY GOVERNMENT, NONPROFIT, FOR PROFIT BUSINESSES AND RURAL ALASKANS.
