Mission

THE PURPOSE OF THE ECONOMIC ALLIANCE IS TO PLAN, ORGANIZE, AND PROMOTE IN COORDINATION WITH THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS, A PROGRAM OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WHICH PROVIDES FOR A STRONG LOCAL ECONOMY, THE DIVERSIFICATION OF THE ECONOMY, JOBS CREATION, THE RETENTION AND EXPANSION OF EXISTING BUSINESSES, INCREASED COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY/SALES, THE RECRUITMENT OF NEW INDUSTRY, ADDITIONAL PUBLIC REVENUES AND IMPROVED VISITOR AND TOURIST SERVICES, ALL FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR OKANOGAN COUNTY RESIDENTS.

DURING THE PAST YEAR WE HAVE PROVIDED COUNSELING SERVICES THROUGH THE SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER TO OVER 41 ACTIVE CLIENTS. THESE CLIENTS WERE ABLE TO EITHER CREATE OR RETAIN 20 JOBS IN OKANOGAN COUNTY. WE ALSO HELPED TO COORDINATE FORUMS AND INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS WITH ORGANIZATIONS AND THE OKANOGAN COUNTY JOB FAIR, WHICH HELPS TO EDUCATE AND INFORM THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY.
